Under patronage of Minister of Transportation Bahrain Hosts First Middle East Safety Summit

Regional aviation safety issues are being discussed at the first Middle East Safety Summit, being held in the Kingdom of Bahrain under the patronage of His Excellency Mr Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, Minister of Transportation. The summit is organized by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in partnership with the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) and is hosted by the Ministry of Transportation's Civil Aviation Affairs. This summit brings together industry stakeholders experts – including Air Navigation Service Providers, airport operators/regulators, and airlines – to discuss key sregional safety concerns with the overall aim of improving aviation safety in the Middle East.

Civil Aviation Affairs' Statement on Bahrain Air Closure

An official source from the Civil Aviation Affairs (CAA) at the Ministry of Transportation has stated that the Ministry was taken by surprise by the announcement made by Bahrain Air's Board of Directors regarding the airline's decision of voluntary suspension and filing for voluntary liquidation while ceasing its operations.
